Firestrip 30 from Hodgson Sealants achieved 47 minutes in its latest BS EN 1363-1:2012 test for a 30-minute fire rating.

The company backs Fire Door Safety Week with its range of products for the fire protection market for sealants and tapes, including Firestrip 30. This intumescent strip sealant is also covered under the British Woodworking Federation BWF Certifire Scheme Certificate CF297, for use in timber screens and doors for periods of 30 minutes’ fire resistance.

Firestrip 30 has a 12-month shelf life and is quick, clean and easy to apply and the excellent high tack surface provides good adhesion. The product has been tested with a wide variety of non-insulating and insulating glass types and can be overcoated with paints and decorative wood stains.
